EDM #25, Edited

Yup, I was drinkin' while drawin'.

My favorite mixed drink: iced tea with lemon and sugar! I keep a pitcher of the premixed brew in my refrigerator so I won't have to bother with ice, sugar, and lemon for each glass; however, I do have to brew the tea once a day.

The scan messed with the cobalt blue, and it didn't pick up the blue through the glass, but the burnt sienna looks about right. No colors were mixed for this baby.

I prefer stemmed glassware, and I have a lot of these special iced tea glasses from Wal-Mart.

EDIT: The same artwork but image taken with a handheld digital camera instead of being scanned. The colors are much closer to the original even though I took this indoors by a lamp. I set the white balance to incandescent.

A clip was used to help flatten the page in the Moleskine. At least the scanner helped flatten the pages.

This is stunning! It’s beautiful in its simplicity, and the various gradation of blue is sublime.
*I’ve never seen a more luxurious and fancier manner to enjoy iced tea! :)

Good for you getting 25 challenges done. These are all very nice. I like your idea of drinking from stemware. I like to drink most everything from a coffee mug.

Lovely sketch, and yummy colors, no matter what your scanner did. By the way, my scanner hates blue colors too...

I love these two colors together. Am growing quite fond of Burnt Sienna, but have yet to use it in a painting!

This is great! Would look beautiful as an illustration in a book!
Yes, scanning or photographing, neither is as perfect as seeing the real thing and then you also have the different screens of everybody...but on my screen this looks beautiful!

I see the difference between the scan and the photo - I had the exact same problem the other day and posted it on my blog then. Then too, it was the blue that caused trouble for the scanner. Or the scanner that caused trouble for the blue. :)

Wow -- it's neat to see the difference between the camera and the scanner! Looking at the scanned image I would have sworn you used phthalo (or Winsor) blue -- looking at the photo image I'm guessing cobalt! Great drawing, too!
