There's a huge chunk of granite just north of Atlanta, Georgia, that's large enough to be called a mountain. It is creatively named Stone Mountain, and it rises 825 feet above the surrounding area.
The largest bas-relief in the world is on the north side of Stone Mountain. It depicts three historic Confederate men on their horses. The carving is 400 feet above the ground and measures 90 by 190 feet.
Stone Mountain is surrounded by a state park.
