And Another WetCanvas! Challenge

Painting with only two colors is the purpose of this WetCanvas! Challenge.

The grey at the top and to the left is light fall-off, not paint, though the rest of the image is fairly true. Yeah, I put it on a table under a lamp. The colors are closer than in a scan.

Burnt Sienna and Ultramarine Deep were the two colors chosen because I knew they would give me colors close to the original photo, and I picked the photo because I thought I could do it with two colors ... just didn't pay attention to the fact that there's a beard with which to contend. Duh!

Mixing the two colors to get the shades needed was fairly easy, though not always as accurate as planned, but I have problems with water/paint ratios and water/brush ratios. It will eventually be easier.

Fabriano Aristico paper, MaimeriBlu watercolors, 5"x7".

This is excellent, Jenny! Portraits are so hard to do in watercolor, and with only two colors on top of that! I'm so impressed.
