Lots of Green

This one was done for a workshop at Watercolour Haven. Getting the pigment-water combinations correct just doesn't click in my mind. When things go right, I forget how I managed. It's very frustrating.

Getting a decent scan is also frustrating.

I need something to cheer me up. It's time for an ice cream raid in my kitchen!

5x7, Fabriano Aristico, MaimeriBlu watercolors.

I think this painting looks very nice! I know what you mean about pigment and water - the paper surface is yet another variable - and then there are the brushes and their water and paint holding ability... Nice work!

I like this, it has a peaceful ambiance. Ice cream also cheers me up, until I get on the scale the next day!

This is a lovely painting, Jenny. Sometimes I look at a picture and stories pops in my head. This painting makes me think of David Copperfield. Remember when he walked all the way from London to Dover? I imagined this is the scene he saw when he’s nearing the town where his aunt Betsy lived. A warm home and a living relative (must have med him less alone in the world).
